about me

Julia Scarmozzino (she/her) is an emerging illustrator based in Northcote. She has a background of working in childcare and has a Diploma of Illustration. Her background and studies motivate her to create friendly and quirky artworks that fuel her passion for visual storytelling. Her artwork aims to ignite imagination through her whimsical illustrations.

Her specialty is anthropomorphic animals, targeting an audience of children and the young at heart. She has recently completed two self-published children’s books and is currently working on a third. Her Along her freelance work, Julia teaches art at Gloworm to various age groups, from kinder groups, to primary years and teen classes.

Passionate about sustainability, Julia reflects this in the physical production of her artwork. Julia has undertaken many commissions, including pet portraits, childrens' book illustrations and nursery decor. She is currently accepting commissions.
